MISS SARAH’S
TINY DANCER SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Congratulations to Nayla Garcia, this year's first recipient of STH's Tiny Dancer Scholarship. Her mom wanted to share these words with the STH community:

"Thank you Spoke the Hub. The Scholarship will give Nayla the opportunity to flourish in her interest and love for dance, music and performance. When I told Nayla about her return, the look on her face was priceless."
STH's Tiny Dancer Scholarship Fundspearheaded by STH dance instructor Sarah Pope, will support a deserving  little one, who may not otherwise be able to afford early childhood creative movement classes. Donations areaccepted all year long, thus it's not too late to donate, so get on board this little love train and give to the dancers of the future!

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

New Gowanus Sky Farm Planning Meeting: Wednesday November 18th @ 6:30pm

New Gowanus Artist's Collective & Gallery Planning Meeting:Thursday November 19th @ 6:30pm

As we approach the beginning of our Gowanus Arts building renovation, we would like to hear from our community of artists, urban gardeners and local residents on what they would find most useful in our new-fangled community arts center.

Current plans now include two ground floor gallery spaces: one for more traditional, hang-it-on-the-white-wall kind of exhibits, and the other, an open public space in our new lobby for less traditional work or installations. We also plan to have a dedicated art space for teaching studio art classes, should you be interested in being part of a rotating teaching artists' roster as well.

Up on the roof, we hope to install a new 4,400 rooftop "farm" and would like future gardeners' input on how the farm might best run, what activities and crops we should consider, and membership structures.

If you are interested in being part of either or both of these two informal meetings, please RSVP spoke@spokethehub.org by November 17th.
