The first floor is currently being lowered and columns will be removed for the new ADA compliant Wheelhouse Theater & Event Space and Open Source galleries which will soon be visible and accessible at street level. The new stairwell to the roof farm will unfold next...stay tuned for further building updates and how you can get involved.
WHAT'S SPINNING @ SPOKE
Sign-ups to perform in STH’s annual WINTER FOLLIES 2017 are now open! The first 30 artists or performing groups to sign-up have 5 minutes to do what they do best.  At the end of each show, the audience votes on which artist or group’s work they would like to see a whole evening production of.  The artist or group with the most votes at the end of the weekend receives 50 hours of free rehearsal space, plus a fully produced weekend of their own work at the new Gowanus theater next season. Performers must be professionals* creating their own original work, and must be over the age of 21 to participate. (STH defines professional performers as those endeavoring to earn their living through their performing art.) Because of the ongoing renovation at the Gowanus, this year’s WINTER FOLLIES will again be held at the Old First Church in Park Slope.

CITY STOMPERS

All ages are invited to come out to watch some world class clogging and flat-footing then jump into the round and square dances themselves for a rollicking good ole-fashioned dance social, complete with a live string band.

City Stompers works with local musicians to preserve this American dance and music tradition, and to bring square dances and flatfooting workshops to new communities throughout the city.
