ARTIST WORK SPACES AVAILABLE @ GOWANUS ARTS

Contact Lori at space@spokethehub.org to discuss the following space options:

2016 Short Term Work Space @ Gowanus Arts
STH will have short term, month-to-month, studio and artists’ work spaces and office spaces to share at the Gowanus starting in January 2016 during our renovation. There will be times it may be noisy and dusty, so everyone needs to be flexible and tolerant during certain construction periods. Smaller shared spaces will run around $475 a month, including utilities.

Reserve Long Term Shared & Private Studio Space @ Gowanus Arts Now!
As STH launches into its first heavy construction phase at the Gowanus Arts building this winter and spring, we are also now accepting inquiries and space requests from future teachers, artists, craftspeople, curators and other not-for-profit organizations who may need longer term, semi-permanent, rehearsal, performance, teaching, meeting and other kinds of work or gathering space.

Private Dance Space Available @ Gowanus Beginning January 2016:
Available for long-term rental, starting January 2016: apr. 600sf appropriate for dance studio, offices or artists’ work space on 3rd floor walk-up. Will share bathrooms, lounge and roof garden with Spoke the Hub and receive special performance space discounts for use of new ADA compliant theater/event space on the ground floor when construction is complete.

Longer Term Shared Teaching, Rehearsal and Performance Space Available @ Gowanus Beginning Fall 2016:
STH will have three large dance and performance spaces plus one non-movement space available to share next Fall. STH is currently accepting space requests and proposals for long-ish term space shares from teaching artists, independent artists, performance groups and other not-for-profits who might need large, open meeting space on a regular basis. Current continuing STH space users will have first choice of teaching times, days and spaces; newcomers will fill in remaining time shares thereafter. Minimum long-term share commitment: 1 year

Gallery Administrator and Independent Curators Wanted For New Gowanus Galleries

Two new ground floor gallery spaces will be available to local visual artists and curators next year as well as a 2nd floor art teaching space upon completion of the Gowanus renovation. Although the exact launch dates are not yet known, STH is currently seeking proposals and resumes from independent curators and gallery directors to help run the gallery and the new proposed artists collective. Please send proposals, resumes and letters of inquiry to: space@spokethehub.org.
