2016 Short Term Work Space @ Gowanus Arts

Spoke the Hub will have short term, month-to-month, studio and artists’ work spaces and office spaces to share at the Gowanus starting in January 2016 during our renovation. Smaller shared spaces will run around $450 a month, including utilities.

ATTENTION PERFORMERS & FREELANCE TEACHING ARTISTS:

Longer Term Shared Teaching, Rehearsal and Performance Spaces Available
@ Gowanus Beginning Fall 2016:

STH will have three large dance and performance spaces plus one non-movement space available to share next Fall. STH is currently accepting space requests and proposals for long-ish term space shares from teaching artists, independent artists, performance groups and other not-for-profits who might need large, open meeting space on a regular basis. Current continuing STH space users will have first choice of teaching times, days and spaces; newcomers will fill in remaining time slots thereafter. Minimum long-term share arrangement: 1 year. Please send an outline of what you need space for, how many people you anticipate working with, their ages, and your optimal space size, days, and times, to: space@spokethehub.org.

Beautiful 600sf Open Loft Space For Rent in Gowanus Arts building

The Gowanus Arts building, called "one of the most exhilarating art spaces in Brooklyn" is about to undergo a major renovation. There is one 600sf loft space on the 3rd floor (walk-up) that is still available.  Space is apr. 20 x 30, sports a wall of windows, hardwood floor, A/C, gas space heater, and separate gas and electric meters, plus wifi. Rent will be $1,500 during construction and $1,700 when construction is completed.

Currently, the space is available now in its entirety, OR we have an architect who is interested in sharing space with one or two other architects, designers or artists. (Or, if someone would like to rent the space and sublet part of it to him for office space, he is interested.)
