ADDU formalizes partnership with the Catholic University of Pusan, South Korea, for academic mobility programs and cultural exchanges
The Ateneo de Davao University hosted the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Catholic University of Pusan, South Korea, on 22 October 2022 via Zoom video conference.
As expressed in the MOU, the Ateneo de Davao University and the Catholic University of Pusan hope to facilitate mutual friendship and international academic cooperation between the institutions while acting in good faith in the accomplishment of programs for academic and cultural exchange, joint research, meaningful conference, and other pursuits.
ADDU JHS and the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology, Kazakhstan, sign a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize institutional partnership
The Ateneo de Davao University Junior High School (ADDU JHS) hosted a Ceremonial Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with their institutional partner from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology (NIS-CB), Kazakhstan last 19 October 2022 via Zoom teleconference.
The partnership was made in the name of fostering quality education and global citizenship among students. ADDU JHS and NIS-CB Kazakhstan seek to host programs for cultural exchange, academic linkage, meaningful conferences, and joint research.
ADDU participates in the EduCanada Pathways to Partnership Conference
Last 21 October 2022, the Ateneo de Davao University, through the Ateneo Internationalization for Mindanao (AIM) Office, participated in the 2022 EduCanada Pathways to Partnership Session held in Grand Hyatt BGC, Taguig City.
The EduCanada pathways to partnership session provided opportunities for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to explore potential engagements with Canadian HEIs and pursue deeper collaborations that may steer cross-border partnerships. The event had at least two hundred attendees, composed of delegates from various Philippine HEIs, business agencies, and representatives from Canadian institutions. The AIM Office was represented by one of its Program Officers, Ms. Gillian Marie Porras.
ADDU School of Arts and Sciences commences two learning sessions with Visiting International Lecturer Dr. David J. Kendall

Dr. David J. Kendall is an Associate Professor of Music at La Sierra University in Riverside, California, USA. Dr. Kendal is the author of “The Music of the Spheres in the Western Imagination,” published this year by Lexington Books. He is currently on sabbatical leave to perform archival research in the colonial churches of the Eastern and Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao.
The first learning session on Bentness as a Literary Device was hosted by the Department of Languages, Literature, and Arts last 23 September 2022. Meanwhile, the second learning session on Ancient Greco-Roman Cosmology and Literature was hosted by the Philosophy Department last 14 October 2022.
The third session of the lecture series will be conducted in November 2022 on Music as Creation and Destruction in Lewis and Tolkiento be hosted by the Ateneo Internationalization for Mindanao Office.
ADDU ranks 32nd among the Philippines’ Best Employers for 2023 according to Statista and Philippine Daily Inquirer
The Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista went through an extensive process to come up with The Philippines’ Best Employers for 2023. The list is the culmination of a vast and comprehensive research project that covered tens of thousands of evaluations, the opinions of thousands of employees, and the scores for hundreds of companies.
Ateneo de Davao University was ranked 32 in the country’s Best Employers list, which places it 2nd in the Employer in Education category, right after De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde. The University of Santo Tomas was ranked 37, placing it 3rd in the Employer in Education category.
