ALL CHURCHES or FAITH BASED ORGANIZATIONS--Don't miss an opportunity to help the Returning Citizens coming out of prison- FREE.
The Department of Community Supervision (DCS) and Representative Valencia Stovall would like to invite you to the Healing Communities of Georgia.
Through the assistance of the Department of Community Supervision (DCS), Healing Communities of Georgia faith based organizations are provided opportunities to learn and implement models through introductions to best practices, ongoing educational opportunities, and engagement in policy discussions. This will help strengthen their capability to work with returning citizen and help improve their lives through a spirit of forgiveness. These activities create a sense of welcome and inclusion for returning citizens, lessen their stigma and shame, and help transform their hearts and minds so that they remain crime free.

GEORGIA PRE-K WEEK
Outstanding Again!
Each year hundreds of elected officials and community leaders set aside time during the first week of October to read to our young 4 & 5 yr. old minds. It is always an exciting and rejuvenating time for me. The students make you feel like a SUPER STAR, and the staff at these centers are so welcoming. I read to 7 early learning centers, a combination of public and private centers. Learning is definitely taking place in the walls of these great institutions.
The centers were: Watch Me Grow Center (Forest Park), Little One's Learning Center (Forest Park), Arrow Christian Academy (College Park), King Elementary School (College Park), Kindercare Learning Center (College Park), Prime Care Learning Center (Riverdale), Lake City Elementary School (Lake City)
