from Representative Valencia Stovall
Communities In Need?
During this season of the year, there is always an extra emphasis on people who are need in our communities. In actuality the need doesn't happen just around holiday time, but is an everyday experience for some. In the upcoming year, there must be more of a focus on ensuring adequate funding for our non-profits and the services they provide on a daily basis. I applaud these providers for their tireless commitment to the people they serve.
Nonprofits will play an integral part in Workforce Training. My office has been tasked with establishing a Workforce Development Taskforce which will focus on collaborating with existing entities to address the needs of the residents for employment and the businesses for training employees. Look for more information soon. To stay up to date between newsletters follow me @ValenciaStovall on twitter, facebook, linkedin, instagram.
