1st Annual Clayton County Educational Leadership Day at the Capitol a Success!
I was proud to host educational leaders from Clayton County for the 1st Annual Educational Leadership Day at the Capitol on March 11th. Attendees gained insight into the inner workings of the state capitol and had the opportunity to discuss the state of education during the round table luncheon sponsored by Students First and Georgia Charter School Association. Other speakers included State Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan, State Rep. Demetrius Douglas, and Dr. Mike Buck – Chief Academic Officer, Georgia Department of Education.

Northcutt Elem. SGA, Church Street Elem. & Prevention Plus - Forest Park Street School Visits the Capitol
The last two weeks have been jammed packed with students visiting the state capitol. Forest Park Street School brought down 20, Northcutt Elem. SGA brought down 30 students, and Church Street Elem. brought over 100 Students! All of the students had the opportunity to learn more about the legislative process, upcoming bills, and how state departments work.
