SIGNED May 3, 2016
Governor Nathan Deal signed the bill into law at the State Capitol. Georgia is the 2nd state to allow video cameras to be placed in self-contained special needs classrooms. Many family, friends and supporters joined Rep. Stovall for this momentous occasion. Landon Dunson (the student who the bill was named) & his family were present.
Rep. Valencia Stovall introduced her first general bill during 2015-16 legislative session as a 2nd term legislator. HB 614 Landon Dunson Act passed the House & Senate overwhelmingly with bi-partisan support and was sent to the Governor's desk. Read the front page feature in Clayton News Daily

3rd Annual Dance On The Bridge Honoring Parent & Community Volunteers made an impact again!
If you missed meeting the community on the I-75 Bridge in Morrow on Saturday, April 30th, then you missed another year of musical talents. Special speaker was Angel Massey (mother of Christopher & Kyle Massey- childhood movie stars) who gave words of inspiration to the parents on staying involved in their children's lives. There was dancing, singing, spectacular performances, exercising demonstrations, food & more. Certificates were presented to 280 parents & community volunteers who donated 12 hours or more to schools in District 74. Special Thanks to Sisters In Action, Kandie Kane (MC), DJ Rollem, Rejahn Foard, Clayton State Nursing Dept., Clayton State Dance Team (Loched In Motion), CSU African Student Association, Nita & Zamarr, Angelic Pearls, US Navy Recruiters, The Dee Hill Show (Love 860am), Clayton County Sheriff's Dept., & much more. House Study Committee Minutes: When legislators are contemplating the affect legislation will have on Georgians, study committees are formed to hear from experts and constituents about the bills. This year Rep. Stovall served on 2 House Study Committees which she felt the most passionate towards.
