Doing the Right Thing!

As I reflect back and look to the future on the impact of our educational system and transportation in Clayton County, I am compelled to encourage my fellow public servants in the County Commission and the School Board to "Do the Right Thing". As leaders, we must stand in the forefront to ensure that our students have the best educational opportunities as possible and our citizens have access to a better quality of life which a viable transit system will bring. Our students deserve to know that the best leader for the school system has been selected. The economics of Clayton is dependent upon a great educational system and a transit system which is able to serve the Metro Atlanta area. Don't take that choice away from the residents.
Year after year I have witnessed students who are full of potential but are stuck. We need flexibility in administration and teaching, because "one size education doesn't fit all". As I read more about the deepening of the Savannah Port, construction of the Porsche headquarters and the increase in the need for healthcare, technological, and logistical jobs, I am convinced that Clayton County can be the recipient of these economic opportunities. It won't happen unless WE are prepared by having an educated workforce and means of being able to move people and product.
My dad often quotes, "Everything rises and falls on leadership". As a Clayton County resident you are a stakeholder and it is imperative that you VOICE your opinion to our county and school board leaders.
