Join us this weekend on East 2nd Avenue in historic downtown Durango for Southwestern Colorado's premier outdoor fine art and fine craft festival.  Celebrating our 22nd year, DAC will showcase the creativity of makers from around the country, including several local artists.  Enjoy 90 artist booths, live entertainment all weekend coordinated by Stillwater Music, hands-on art activities at the Creation Station, food vendors and so much more in this annual "local's favorite" event!

THE ATOMIC PUNKS
- FREE CONCERT HOSTED BY STEAMWORKS BREWING CO -

Stick around Saturday evening to enjoy a free concert on the Festival main stage hosted by Steamworks Brewing Company in celebration of their 20th year of business in Durango.  Put on your big hair, jumping shoes and best 80s hair band face and come enjoy the antics and incredible impersonation of the Van Halen tribute band The Atomic Punks!

The Durango Arts Center's Annual Members’ Exhibit provides its members with an opportunity to create and present artwork inspired by the natural landscapes of the Southwest.  This exhibit is open to all DAC members, is non-juried and there is no charge to enter.  

Cash awards will be given out for Best of Show ($250), 2nd Place ($125) & 3rd Place ($75), as well as the annual "Reflections of Durango" award presented by the Durango Chamber of Commerce. For questions, contact Peter Hay at peter@durangoarts.org or by calling (970) 259-2606, Ext 12.

This Changes Everything

DAC will screen the film, “This Changes Everything,” based on the controversial book, This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs The Climate (2014) written by journalist Naomi Klein.  Directed by Avi Lewis and shot over 211 days in nine countries and five continents over four years, "This Changes Everything" is an epic attempt to re-imagine the vast challenge of climate change.

The culminating event in DAC’s 10-Minute Play Celebration, this festival has become one of Durango’s favorite theatre events. Featuring winners and finalists of the DAC 10-minute Play Contest, this fast-paced evening offers a grab-bag of comedy and drama. Not to be missed!

In an effort to inspire a new generation of art collectors and appreciators, the Durango Art’s Center is hosting an art sale of donated work. The artwork, generously given to DAC by members and collectors in our community, will be priced at points intended to be affordable. In turn, the funds raised through the event will support DAC’s visual and performing art programs, teaching and inspiring the next generation of artists and actors.
