GOD OF CARNAGE
Auditions Held in the DAC Theater: Tuesday, October 11 at 6pm

Rehearsals Begin January 9, 2017
Show Opens February 17, 2017 

Performers aged 30-50 are invited to audition for the play God of Carnage, a co-production of the Durango Arts Center and Merely Players.  

Written by Yasmina Reza and winner of 2009 TONY Awards for Best Play, Best Actress in a Play and Best Director, God of Carnage is a dramatic comedy set in present-day New York City centered on two married couples who meet for the first time shortly after their respective young sons engage in a schoolyard fight.

$80 per session for DAC Members / $100 Non-Members

+ $20 materials fee paid to the instructor

Take an art vacation and play with the unique Griffin Press with local artist, Judy Hayes. Register for one or both sessions to explore a variety of printmaking techniques, including monoprint, calograph and collage.  This unique workshop is designed for students with some art-making experience and is held at the artist’s studio (directions provided upon registration). Bring a bag lunch and your imagination!

INVITIATIONAL ARTISANS' MARKET

Opens Friday, November 25 at 10am
Closes Friday, December 23 at 5pm
Open Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm

Registration Deadline: Friday, November 4

Artists are invited to submit artwork for sale in DAC's annual Winter Solstice Artisans' Market, a signature event that transforms the Barbara Conrad Gallery into a vibrant marketplace, is one of Durango's most popular destinations for holiday shopping.  Entry fees are $50 for current DAC Members and $90 for Non-Members, which includes a 1-year DAC membership and access to 60% commission rate (DAC retains 40%).  Interested artists are asked to contact Exhibits Director, Peter Hay at (970) 259-2606, Ext 12 or peter@durangoarts.org.

Studio & Gallery will host its 6th annual Day Of The Dead exhibit in celebration of the transitions and impermanence under the banner of The Passage Between.  Artist contributions of all media welcome, including installation and performance.

Studio & Gallery (Durango, CO) is seeking artists for its 4th Annual Bizarre Bazaar, a holiday marketplace that offers patrons an opportunity to buy unique gifts directly from the local artists that made them. It's a frenzy of awesomeness that is not to be missed and space is limited to 24 artists, so don't delay your application!

ArtHub is a new organization that provides four visual and literary artists a chance to concentrate on their creative efforts by offering free space to live and work for three months.  Housed on the lower floor is an open studio for artists to make and display their artwork in the public eye. The upper floor is a fully furnished, five bedroom apartment, recently completely renovated.
