MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE
with Suzy DiSanto

Dancer, choreographer, and director of Take the Lead program in 9R schools

BEGINNING: 10:30am-12:30pm

It’s time to dance to those famous, old and new Broadway classics.  Students will learn short sequences to help in other dance classes, auditions or just to have fun!

ADVANCED: 1-3pm
$25 Members / $28 Non-Members

For those who took the musical theatre dance class last winter or have previous dance training. This workshop will put emphasis on the iconic style and technique of Bob Fosse.

INTRODUCTION TO IMPROVISATION

Learn the basics of the improvisational form for the stage. You will learn skills and tools that can be applied in every facet of life, from joining an improv troupe to checking out at the grocery store to spicing up your outings with friends and family.

We all have stories to tell.  Come explore storytelling techniques such as story arcs and development through the five senses, and finding your own unique voice.

Learn about the different styles that exist within a wide variety of plays. We’ll take a look at farce, comedy of manners, gritty westerns and more. We will focus on style games and exercises in this session.

For students who take the morning session, or have previous acting experience in styles. Learn about the different styles that exist within a wide variety of plays. We’ll take a look at farce, comedy of manners, gritty westerns and more.
