CALL FOR ARTISTS AS CREATIVE PARTNERS

Fashion Fusion deConstructed
May 25, 2016
Fort Lewis College Ballroom

Fashion Fusion is an exciting, fast-paced high-end runway show designed to spotlight local businesses and raise funds and awareness for the Durango Arts Center.

The show will feature clothing constructed primarily of raw, unconventional materials used in industries or businesses outside of fashion, such as newspaper, wire, metal, wood, flower petals, money, paint chips, etc. Participating businesses may work with the “deconstructed” theme by incorporating materials reflecting their own particular industries.

DAC artist members are invited to consider partnering with a business to offer a fashion design. DAC is eager to see as many designs on the runway envisioned by members of the DAC artist community, as possible. Many of the businesses who want to be part of the fun need a creative individual to partner with to transform their materials into a design.

Get Involved
Sharon Hermes (Sharon@durangoherald.com/ 970-375-4511) is compiling a list of artists who are interested in working with a business in the creation of their design. Your “gift” of a design will be celebrated in the show however, artists will not be compensated. The business will be responsible for having the design created for the runway at their expense.
