Effective Thursday, May 12th, we are suspending Group Therapy for the Summer.  We will resume meeting on Thursday nights in September.  We have some upcoming special events planned for Thursday evenings - so stay tuned!
There is so much happening at Yarn Asylum these days.

The Building Blocks workshop is a huge hit.  We have a wonderful group of knitters who are building their knitting skills one block at a time.  I am so excited watching newer knitters gain confidence in their knitting as they learn and create.  The workshop is free and open to everyone.  All of the details can be found here on our website.  You can also see pictures of finished squares and happy faces!

Several of us participated in the Knit Purl Hunter Mystery KAL called 14 Carat Poncho.  I am still working on completing mine - as are most of us.  It is the first time I have ever done a Mystery KAL and I am definitely going to do more!
If you are not familiar with a Mystery KAL - this is a short explanation on how it works.  The designer gives you a vague idea of what you will be making and the material list you will need to complete it.  Then, at regular intervals, a new "Clue" is released.  That clue gives you a section of the pattern.  Each release gives you more pattern instruction until you have the complete pattern.  If you are knitting along with the clue releases - you will watch your project grow into completion.
There are always KALs (and CALs) being hosted on Ravelry for all types of projects.  We plan to join another one later in the summer!

Our website is the most up to date place to find a listing of our current classes.  We add classes all the time so check it out today and often!

Yarn Asylum is thrilled to announce that we are going to be introducing the CustomFit Program by Amy Herzog to the shop!
Whether you are an experienced garment knitter or ready to make your first one - this program is designed for YOU!
Imagine having a pattern written to YOUR measurements and using YOUR gauge and whatever yarn YOU choose!
Sounds great?  It is!
Look for more details about this program in the coming weeks!

Yarn Asylum has recently established a dealership agreement with Ashford Wheels and Looms.
What that means for you is that we will be able to provide you with all the fine Ashford products - including their wonderful selection of spinning wheels and looms!  The catalog can be found on our website.  This is in addition to the Schacht line we currently have.
If you have been considering a new spinning wheel or loom - please come see us!
We presently have a Weaver's Group that meets every other Sunday afternoon at Yarn Asylum.  We are expanding this group to include Spinners also!  All are invited - whether you already weave & spin or are just interested in more information!
Join our special Facebook group and stay up to date on what is happening.
