"Animal rights is now the greatest social justice issue since the abolition of slavery." - Philip Wollen
Every year, more than 50 MILLION fur-bearing animals are brutally KILLED for FASHION, slaughtered without mercy so that their skins can be made into coats, trim, even trinkets. The dog and cat fur trade in Asia, a largely unknown animal protection issue, is an unspeakable atrocity - many are stolen from their guardians, someone’s beloved companion. To address the issues of the fur industry is to address the complexity of the human condition and our collective consciousness, which perceives fur as a commodity rather than as the skin of a once living, sentient being.
CRY OF THE INNOCENT: The Voices That Can't Speak is a precedent-setting documentary exploring the sociological and spiritual factors that contribute to the iniquitous and inhumane treatment of animals in our society, with its center on the fur trade as a paradigm of a larger nemesis permeating our world. This feature-length documentary film will include interviews with spiritual leaders, visionaries, humanitarians, environmentalists, animal welfare leaders, celebrities, luminaries, social consciousness movers, evolution biologists and others.
This spiritually evocative film is a calling for transformational social evolution of our planet. Speaking from the soul perspective, the film’s message will bring to light the underlying nemesis of an egocentric society and its consequential effect on the animal kingdom and the earth. Through the revelation of spiritual truth, this precedent-setting film will awaken the collective conscience of humanity, impact consumerism that subsidizes animal cruelty, and ignite the genesis of sustainable change on our planet.
The power of respect will change our world.
