(Los Angeles, CA: July 10-13, 2014)
The Director of CRY OF THE INNOCENT: The Voices That Can’t Speak
, Kathleen Lowson, spoke and screened her latest movie trailer at the Animal Rights National Conference
, dedicated to the liberation of animals from all forms of human exploitation and abuse. Her presentation was very well received and her work applauded. Stay tuned for a recording of her speech soon!
Important strategic alliances were also made on behalf of the film. Most significantly, Kathleen attended a “closed door†meeting with the City of West Hollywood Council members who were responsible for the precedent-setting ordinance of West Hollywood becoming the first city in the U.S. to ban the sale of fur! Kathleen and the group will be working together to move forward on a plan to target other cities to go fur-free, following in the footsteps of the West Hollywood fur ban victory
