“The only arbiter of how we treat animals is not ‘can they reason?’ nor ‘can they talk?’ but ‘can they suffer?’” - 19th century British philosopher and jurist, Jeremy Bentham
Open Letter from the Director:

The impact of the movie trailers around the world has elicited a transformative power, having a profound effect on its viewers.  The film has gained the attention of the international press including China, the mecca of the notorious fur trade and one of the world’s largest suppliers of animals skins, especially dog and cat fur, largely unknown due to false labeling.

The trailers have garnered tremendous support from around the globe for the film and its message, ensuring a solid foundation for worldwide distribution.  Important strategic alliances have been made globally with organizations that are directly working to end this barbaric industry.

The film’s goal is worldwide distribution in theaters, cable broadcast outlets, news media organizations, universities, libraries, learning centers, and every conceivable venue around the globe to spread the message of this film.  Marketing will also include distribution of the DVD of the film to every fashion magazine editor, every fashion designer, every fur-wearing celebrity we can reach, and every fur distributor/vendor around the world.

I am taking a spiritual approach to this dark subject, so that an awakening can occur from a deeper level of the psyche. The important component of the film is a balance of dark and light, yet expose the truth, and this process takes endless hours of editing to get it right.  If you think that some of the images in the trailers are difficult to see, you have not seen anything compared to what has not been shown, as I have edited the footage to the utmost degree.  Our emotional discomfort is miniscule, rather incidental, in light of the unbearable agony our innocent animals endure before their untimely and gruesome death. If we cannot witness inhumanity, we cannot empower humanity and we fail as a “human” species.

The power of film can move mountains.  A case in point is Blackfish; its rippling effect has resulted in significant losses for SeaWorld and a prime example of the impact of film on real life.  At the very least, the film redefined our relationship with other sentient beings, relating to them with respect, which will have even more far-reaching effects.

The making of a film requires an immense amount of work, commitment and financial support. I have exhausted my personal resources and willingly relinquished the comforts of life for this important and necessary work.  I am reaching out to my community of animal advocates and consciousness movers to stand with me and help fund the next stage of production.  I ask each of you who truly believes in my work and in this film for your support, for I cannot do it alone.  No person is an island.

I invite you to collaborate with me in the making of this groundbreaking film, which is deeply rooted in spiritual principles.  It is a call to action for the billions of animals around the world who suffer and die tragically in silence, their cries for mercy unheard, hoping in their hearts that we will hear their pleas for life.

It is clear that until the soul of humanity is awakened, the atrocities committed against non-human animals will continue with no end in sight.  We cannot cure the disease unless we heal the source.  Any lesser remedy is akin to applying a bandage to a severed limb.

There is power in the collective force.  Together, we will bring truth to this shallow world devoid of soul, so our society can be healed and compassion toward non-human animals will become a new paradigm of spiritual evolution on our planet.

I express my deep gratitude to each and every one of you, on behalf of the animals.
