Dear HarvardWIT+ Community,
As Harvard University closes today to commemorate Juneteenth, we want to share resources and collectively recognize the history of this day. As a community, we celebrate and acknowledge the historical fight towards slavery abolition led by Black activists and we continue the fight towards Black liberation in this country.
Our colleagues from the Association of Black Faculty, Administrators and Fellows have shared a way for us to get involved through the Virtual Day of Absence. We encourage all of you to participate in solidarity with this action.
We have also included other ways below to learn about the history of slavery abolition, and how we can act today to fight anti-Blackness and systemic racism.
