Many of us complain about the "misinformation" machine of media and social media.
We think "
they"
should do something about it!
Unfortunately, "they" are not going to be able to do anything about it.
But there
is
something
you
can do:
Don't be a part of spreading information you're not sure about. When in doubt, just don't.
Or make it your business to do the proper research.
Don't let yourself be a part of the misinformation distribution machine.
And don't let yourself spread hatred and outrage.
We need to catch ourselves and pause before pushing "share" or repeating something to friends or family.
We need also to catch ourselves when we take a vocal, strong moral stand based on inaccurate, partial, biased or outdated information.
