Last year I saw “The First Step” at the Tribeca Film Festival and was blown away. I’ve since gotten in touch with Lance Kramer, the filmmaker.
He hasn’t yet got distribution of his film, so I inquired if there was a way to screen it for a private group.
We had a wonderful conversation and he offered that I could hold a screening for up to 40 people.
There will be no charge.
The way it will work is that participants will watch the film on their own time (Lance will provide a link to stream it a couple weeks before our discussion date).
And then we will have a discussion on zoom on Tuesday, July 26 from 6pm - 7:30pm Pacific Time
It’s not sure that this film will get distribution, so it may end up being a unique opportunity.
Here’s the link to the website for more information.
In this film, Van Jones (on the Left) shows us bridging in action by getting the First Step prison reform bill passed in a bipartisan fashion working hand in hand with the Trump administration
I'm operating on a “first come, first serve” basis.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you’d like a spot.
