College of EDUCATION
from Kate Degner

Dear Friends and Alumni of the Secondary Student Training Program (SSTP),

SSTP has long been a fixture on The University of Iowa campus. The program began at The University of Iowa with a National Science Foundation grant in 1958. Since then, SSTP has been connecting high achieving high school students with some of the best and most inspiring faculty mentors on campus.

I am pleased to send you the first newsletter associated with the program in recent memory. I hope you will use this newsletter as a way to keep in touch or reconnect with past SSTP participants and faculty mentors. I also hope this newsletter serves as a reminder of the great things we are able to accomplish through the SSTP program, at The University of Iowa.
