Transferring Webelos to Troops

For all unit leaders with Webelos joining your Troop, here are helpful tips for Scoutbook and my.Scouting.org.
Process for Transferring Webelos to Troops
**Please make sure that Arrow of Light (AOL) is recorded by your Pack before submitting a transfer request to council. Arrow of Light awards cannot be recorded after transfers are processed.**
Webelos Transfer via my.scouting.org
- Cub Leader records Arrow of Light (AOL) Advancement in Scoutbook.
- Cub Leader transfers Scout in my.Scouting.org
- Menu > Unit > Roster
- Check Youth being Transferred
- Click Transfer Button
- Enter Troop details (must enter 4 digit troop number) and select Troop from list, for example Troop 498 would be Troop 0498 for the Boy Troop and Troop 8498 for the Girl Troop.
- Troop Leader accepts Scout in my.Scouting.org
- Menu > Unit > Application Manager
- Click Accept
Scouts should appear in Scoutbook in the troop within 24 hours. If you run into any issues using the online transfer method, use the alternative transfer request method.
Alternative Transfer Requests
- Family completes youth application https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/524-406.pdf, select transfer option.
- Family submits application to the Troop Membership Chair.
- Troop Membership Chair completes Troop details and submits the application to the council registrar at membership@seattlebsa.org.
Scouts should appear in Scoutbook in the troop within 48-72 hours after the application is submitted to Council.
