Exploring New Horizons
Friday 13th June 2014
04:12 GMT

Dear Lunascopers, we have now reached the halfway moon of this year and it certainly feels like everything is speeding up, as predicted in my earlier Lunascopes. Fortunately, the exciting and stimulating energy from the Gemini new moon will continue during the Sagittarius full moon, despite this Mercury retrograde, and we can build on the momentum we have started, inspired and fired up ready for adventure. The clearer our destination, the easier it will be to navigate this moon cycle.

The Shaman's Last Apprentice Book
You'll be on your way up!
You'll be seeing great sights!
You'll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.
You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed.
You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you'll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Except when you don't
Because, sometimes, you won't.
I'm sorry to say so
but, sadly, it's true
and Hang-ups
can happen to you.
You can get all hung up
in a prickle-ly perch.
And your gang will fly on.
You'll be left in a Lurch.
You'll come down from the Lurch
with an unpleasant bump.
And the chances are, then,
that you'll be in a Slump.
And when you're in a Slump,
you're not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself
is not easily done.
You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted.  But mostly they're darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out?  Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?
And IF you go in, should you turn left or right...
or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find,
for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
You can get so confused
that you'll start to race
down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
and grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,
headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place...
...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or a No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.
That's not for you!
Somehow you'll escape
all that waiting and staying.
You'll find the bright places
where Boom Bands are playing.....from Dr Seuss "Oh! The Places You'll Go"

This Sagittarius full moon is provoking us to fan the flames ignited by the Gemini new moon. It will increase the momentum that we have been gaining over the last few weeks, connecting us to the right people and place and moving our projects forward.

As well as being a mutable fire sign, the full moon illuminates and increases our intuition and “inner wisdom,” trusting ourselves more and becoming more adventurous, outgoing, explorative and thoughtful.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion. Jupiter helps us to see the truth instead of blindly accepting what we are told. Over this moon we are being asked to question everything that doesn't seem right and expand our perspective rather than stay in a victim mentality, remaining helpless and powerless. This may well spark off some social unrest or drive some people to do mad things.

Symbolised by the Centaur, part human, part horse, the Sagittarius moon reminds us that we are part human, part animal. it is only when we combine both aspects of ourselves, the rational/logical, with the instinctive/emotional/intuitive, we experience our own inner power and flow, and are no longer bound by mental limitations. We are also in the year of the Horse, making this moon particularly auspicious as the horse energy is already strong.

The human part is always raising the bow and arrow skyward, shooting towards the stars. The archer aims for a target intuitively, not knowing exactly where the arrow will land.  The Sagittarius moon message is to trust our instinctive/intuitive nature so we can access our true power.

As the year speeds up and things become more intense, we must learn to surrender and go with the flow, as if we are on a horse that has started to trot and is preparing for the gallop.

Sagittarius full moon helps us to expand our horizons by inspiring us to action, as truth seekers. This is a good time for journeys, travel abroad, spiritual pursuits, following your dreams, learning new things, and being creative, enabling us to be more of who we are. We also have more spontaneous optimism, can see our blessings as clearly as our burdens and turn every experience into an exciting adventure.

The clearer our destination, the easier it will be to ride this energetic wave, focusing on where you are heading, without over thinking it or worrying about things. When we have clear intention and trust that everything we need will come moment by moment, we can enjoy the magic.

The flip side to all this optimism, generosity and honesty is we can be prone to exaggeration, laziness, tactlessness or take reckless risks. We are also now in Mercury retrograde so communications are chaotic and things are often not what they appear to be.

The old adage comes to mind, "not all that glitters is gold" and its important to remember it over this moon.  Don't rush into any business agreements, buy any electrical items or sign any rushed documentation, as things may look very different when Mercury goes forward.

Fortunately, we can enjoy this positive, exciting, adventurous and fiery moon without becoming too emotionally bogged down or overwhelmed by drama, that's for the Cancer new moon in two weeks time!.

For now, the more we say yes over this moon, think big, shoot for the stars, follow our passion, and dare to be greater, better versions then we think, even when we are unsure or ourselves, the more magical our lives become.

I will end this Lunascope with the wise words of Richard Branson:
"If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how do it later!"

Love, Peace and Blessings
Rebekah Shaman xxx

The ritual this full moon is to celebrate the beginning of new adventures.

If it is a clear night this is a great moon to bathe in the silvery rays. Let go of any inner chatter, by focusing on the breath and staying in the now, as the potent moonlight cleans you.

Become aware of the great cosmos that is spiraling above you and take yourself on a journey into the the stars, as you become the Centaur.  Allow your mind to expand and gallop into the huge vastness of the universe.

As you connect to the limitless, endless potential of space ask the moon if she has any messages or guidance for you or ask her a question if something has been on your mind. The answer always comes in the silence, but we have to be open enough to hear it, even if we don't like it!

Celebrate this full moon with dancing. There is a special 5 Rhythms women's full moon dance on Friday 13th in London with all proceeds going to women for women international. Starts at 7.30pm - 9.30pm
St Peters Church (NB-Entrance on Tyers St)
310 Kennington Lane
SE11 5HY
Nearest Tube and Rail Vauxhall- 3 mins walk

On Saturday 14th June ONESPIRIT are doing a whole night of full moon partying with DJ set, live percussion, social, cafe, sound bath, group gathering and lots of magic. For more information or just come along at the Brix, St Matthews Church, Brixton

Go out into nature and enjoy the fertile abundance of summer.  Hug a tree, smell the roses, feel the grass beneath your feet.  The key is to continue the energy of the Gemini new moon and remain in your truth and power by trusting your innate wisdom and intuition.  The more you follow your path and shoot for the stars - without being too influenced by others - the more likely you are to reach them....
Happy Adventuring!!
Mercury retrograde started on 7th June.  For those of you who are not familiar with Mercury Retrograde, Mercury is the planet of Communication and every four months it goes retrograde (meaning it looks as if it is going backwards from the perspective of Earth) for about three weeks.

This can have a detrimental effect on any electronic devices, with malfunctions, breakdowns and quirks appearing in the system.  Timing may seem to be out slightly, things may not seem flow as smoothly and usually simple short trips and appointments become more complicated to fulfill.  Likewise, written communications and signed agreements can often look very different after Mercury goes forward again, so it is advisable not to sign anything important or make any life-changing decisions until after 11th July, (this only relates to new opportunities that happen during a Mercury Retrograde. If you have been working on an agreement, property move etc for some time a Mercury Retrograde may slow the process down but it won't change the situation significantly!).

Mercury Retrograde plays an important part in our yearly cycle as it slows things down, enabling us to have a breather from the intense flow of the river.  It gives us the opportunity to re-examine, reflect and revise what we have been working on over the last few months to make sure we are on the right track and clear on our visions and goals.

We have now reached the zenith of the year, Summer Solstice - the longest day and the summer cross quarter.  This is the auspicious time of the year, when the sun changes direction and we turn towards the dark.

We celebrate the high point of the suns ray and yet are reminded to begin  the journey back to the inner world, as the sun loses its power during the coming six months.  This is the time to be grateful for the abundance of summer, the lush colours and smells of the fertility and vitality.  When we become aware of what we have we can appreciate it much more.

These auspicious celebrations in the earth calendar are a reminder that things are always in flux.  Whatever is happening now will soon transform into something new.  This is a time for renewed hope, faith and trust that everything is happening perfectly.  When we think things are breaking down, they are actually breaking us through barriers that are holding us back.
This is the night to stay up and wait for the sun to rise on a new dawn.  Sun rises are magical but when so many of us send energy out on this day it makes it more magical.  Visit Stonehenge for the celebrations if you can. It is an awesome experience with over 25,000 people celebrating the power and wonder of the Sun.

If you are with a group of people make an alter of flowers and leaves to the Sun and place a wish in front of the alter for the coming months.  Light a fire and write down the one barrier that is holding you back from being the change.  Burn it in the fire and see the flames take it up into the night sky and your prayers being answered.  We are powerful manifesters and at this time of year the energy is at its most powerful.

Take this opportunity to celebrate life, the gifts of abundance and find the gratitude for everything that has happened to you.  We create our reality on the deepest level and the greatest challenges are often the greatest blessings.  Find a way out of victim mode to begin enjoying the magical healing that the hard times bring.

Be spontaneous throughout this moon cycle and fully embrace the chaos by taking each day moment by moment, exploring the unknown, trusting your intuition and revealing your own inner mysteries...Happy Solstice

FULL MOON RETREAT - 8th -10th August
Join us for this weekend of transformation, as we journey within to locate & release any blockages, fears and anxieties that have been holding us back. A full moon is incredibly creative, the energy has been building throughout the month and it increases around this time giving us a great source of inspiration if we use it properly. During this weekend we will look at how to harness this creative energy to channel into our projects and internal development using Shamanic Journeys and Ceremonial Cacao (raw chocolate).

Set in a beautiful retreat centre in the heart of rural Oxfordshire. This retreat will introduce you to some Shamanic practices that you can take into your daily lives to empower you to release old patterns, open the heart and set the path for bringing in the new. This ‘letting go’ energy is particularly powerful under the full moon and we will learn how to cut the ties that bind us to the past and enable us to live more in the flow with everything around us.

The Programme (subject to variations and magic!)
Friday - We will meet and open the circle, create the sacred space and share our intentions. We then have dinner together and time to rest or connect.
Saturday - The day will begin with breakfast before a gentle walk to a stream that rises from a holy well in the nearby wood. Here Rebekah will lead a water ceremony that will enable grounding for the day ahead. After some free time and lunch we will then begin the Cacao ceremony which lasts for up to 4 hours. This journey will continue into the evening where after dinner we will take part in an uplifting Shamanic Dance; a ritual of uninhibited movement as a means to heal and energize. Don’t worry if you’ve never seen yourself as much of a dancer, everyone wears a blind fold during the dance to ease any feelings of self consciousness and so we can just be ourselves. The combination of fire breath, movement and darkness enables us to go into a into a trance like state and within this state you can explore your own personal journey .
Sunday - After breakfast and some free time Rebekah will facilitate a ‘Cutting the Ties that bind’ ceremony. After lunch we will be led on a powerful full moon guided journey to fully ground our intentions into reality, and end the weekend at 4pm.

Cost - £250 for the weekend, £230 concs.

Times - Friday evening 17.30pm – Sunday 4pm

What’s included and what to bring
All food, accommodation and ceremonies are included in the price but the retreat center ask that you bring a top and bottom sheet, pillow cases and towels as they do not provide a laundry service.

We recommend that you also bring the following
*Walking boots or wellies, in case it rains and sufficient warm clothes for night time moon gazing
*A cozy blanket for the meditations as these will take place lying down
*A yoga mat or something to lie on
*A blindfold for the Shamanic dance

More testimonials:
'I'd never had a Tarot reading before, and despite a little 'left-brain' sceptical resistance, I followed my feeling to seek one with Rebekah. After all, for several years now, I have resonated strongly with, and received huge comfort and help from, her bi-monthly Lunascopes. Because of circumstance/synchronicity, we did the reading via Skype and, technical hitches aside, it actually added to the experience of following intuition; I think this was because, when the video camera conked out, I had to feel much more than relying on visual instinct in choosing the cards. I completely trusted in Rebekah's confident, upbeat and skilled approach. She shows the true hallmarks of a professional in that I felt I was her complete focus, while knowing that she offers assistance and guidance to many on a regular basis. The pointers the cards I 'chose' gave and her knowledgeable interpretations, were immensely helpful and spot on, grounding me more firmly in the present and accepting certain things that are unfolding in my life. If you feel drawn to work with Rebekah, honour that feeling and follow through. It was so worth it!' Rob Hilder, UK

“I've let quite a few moons pass since we met in Jan but I wanted to thank you for the insightful reading. Time and time again, I think back to the messages you passed on and the beautiful images of Osho's tarot deck vividly bring them home in my mind. I feel they are very important for my journey and that they will continue to serve me well as I navigate some important changes this year.” Thank you and may your gifts continue to serve many! ~ Junko

My reading with Rebekah was both insightful and accurate. I booked the reading with the intention of gaining clarity around myself and my work and that is exactly what I got. I recommend Rebekah whether you are a novice to "Osho" tarot readings or not. You will get a spiritual direction that cuts through the veil of superficial psychic readings – Rafah Sabbah (UK).

'Thanks so much for the reading Rebekah. I really feel that you were very intuitive and experienced with your interpretation of the cards, and I have come away with a much greater sense of clarity regarding what I need to do next in my life, to get me to the next stage of my life. It was a really worthwhile experience.' ~ Helen (Australia)

“It was a real pleasure working/playing with you today. I could feel the connection between us and the universal energy and i feel we did something that I hope can be a springboard into the new reality I have been aiming to manifest for a while now.” ~ Matt UK

My self-published book is the true story about how I became the Shaman’s Last Apprentice.

It takes the reader from the Andes Mountains of Machu Picchu, where I was working in a hotel, to the Amazon rainforest where I found Don Juanito, an old traditional and local Ayahuasquero Shaman nestled in a tiny village deep in the heart of the Amazon.

The book gives detailed accounts of my breakdown in Machu Picchu, the vision I received that set me on the path, the miracles that led me to finding the Shaman, my secret love affair, local life in the Amazon and the sacred Ayahuasca tradition of the Peruvian Jungle; how it’s prepared, the ceremonies, the visions I experienced and how it awakened me to how we are a part of nature and not apart from it. It is full of inspirational messages from the shaman and my time in the Amazon.

It is a unique book taken from my diary and recorded so that I can share my experience with you and inspire you on your own path of self discovery.

Packed with reflections and insights….a charming and engrossing true story – The Weekly Telegraph (International, UK Derived).

Some Info About Me..This Lunascope is inspired to help us to become realigned with the Rhythm of the Planet, through flowing with the natural cycles of the year and the eight Ancient Festivals of celebration that mark and define our annual cycle. The more we live within the natural flow, the more magic and harmony we will experience in our lives.

In 1998, while working in Peru, I was called by a Shaman in a vision that he had the answers to some of the questions I had about my existence and reason for why I am on the planet. So I flew to the Amazon and found the Shaman nestled in a tiny village deep in the Amazon Jungle. While living with him and his family I experienced first-hand that we are a part of, not apart from, Mother Earth and all life forms and Nature is a symbiotic partner for our survival. By destroying our natural world, we are destroying ourselves, and quickly.

We have been bamboozled by a corrupt calendar and even more corrupt concept of time. Through concepts like ‘time is money,’ we have gradually forgotten our symbiotic relationship with the Earth and natural environments. Indigenous communities, since time began had a higher vision for humanity and the Earth.

I have also written a book, ‘The Shaman’s Last Apprentice,’ about my experiences in Peru that contains messages I received from my teacher Don Juanito and Ayahuasca. It’s available to buy at my website or
