Rotary project gives gift of sight

News Release: Rotary to challenge Oprah Winfrey's Sydney Harbour Bridge climb to raise funds to eradicate polio worldwide.

SYDNEY, Australia - February 23, 2014It will be raining records on the Sydney Harbour Bridge when Rotarians from all over the world challenge existing marks for flying flags from the spans on May 30.

While they’re at it, Oprah Winfrey’s BridgeClimb record for the most simultaneous climbers is also set to fall when more than 392 members of Rotary take the climb to raise funds for the global humanitarian organization’s top philanthropic goal of eradicating polio worldwide.

Update on the aftermath of super typhoon Haiyan

The massive rebuilding task in the Philippines goes on.  And Disaster Aid Australia is still working with the local community responding to their needs.  This is more than just tents: we are providing Home Repair Kits (500 at a time) and water systems.  The people themselves are resources, and with our Rotarian response team volunteers, we work together as they rebuild their lives.
