The Syrian Crisis continues...  



Some 6.8 million people forced from their homes!

Some 6.8 million people have now been forced from their homes in war-torn Syria,  according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), having been exposed to violence and unremitting fighting. Many now remain within the borders with no home to go to and no possessions. There are 1.6 million refugees, three quarters of them being women and children, seeking safety and shelter across neighbouring countries.  Read more here

ShelterBox quick to monitor...



China earthquake 

ShelterBox responded to the earthquake that hit China's Qinghai Province in April 2010, sending 100 ShelterBoxes. - ShelterBox was quick to respond again as alerts came through from various sources on 22 July about two earthquakes hitting China’s western Gansu province, which injured hundreds of people and damaged hundreds of thousands of buildings and homes causing over 225,000 people to be relocated.  Read more here.

Korean Armistice’s...



60th anniversary 

ShelterBox is in the unique position of providing disaster aid to one of the world’s most closed communities. 
As the armistice anniversary is marked with marching and military splendour, ShelterBox shows the plight of homeless people in North Korea’s storm damaged agricultural areas.  Read more here.

ShelterBox working with Scouts...



in South Sudan

Scouts are an integral part of the ShelterBox community. They have a strong history of working with the disaster relief charity in areas of humanitarian crisis; most recently, the youngest National Scout Organisation collaborated with a ShelterBox Response Team (SRT) in the newest country in the world - South Sudan.
