Together, we are helping Syrian families in desperate need - Over 2 million refugees have fled Syria and over 4 million people remain displaced within the country. The majority are in desperate need of shelter and other vital aid, leaving their homes with just the few possessions they can carry. Their need is now greater than ever. Read more about their story.

ShelterBox Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) team return to the Compostela Valley

ShelterBox Corporate Fundraising Manager Maribeth Lloyds with Marezmer and her one-year-old child outside their tent, Philippines, August 2013. - Recently, a ShelterBox Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) team returned to the Compostela Valley. 
‘The purpose of our trip is to collate information to improve ShelterBox’s overall response by speaking to beneficiaries and collecting their feedback, interviewing in-country partners and assessing the conditions of the tents in the flood-hit area,’ said ShelterBox Operations M & E Coordinator Dr. Alison Ashlin.  Read more here.

Sir Ben Ainslie helps to pack ShelterBoxes for Syria...



Helping support our Syria Refugee Appeal 

ShelterBox welcomed Olympic yachtsman and America’s Cup victor Sir Ben Ainslie yesterday, on a flying visit to support its Syria Refugee Appeal.  - 

The quadruple Olympic gold medallist has long been a supporter of the disaster relief charity.  Sir Ben said: “It is great to see ShelterBox making such a tangible difference to people's lives. I have been involved with ShelterBox for a couple of years now, and have seen the charity come a long way.   Read more here

Floods in Sudan look ‘like a bomb has gone off’...



Human connection brings us together

ShelterBox Response Team (SRT) member Richard Loat (CA) was recently part of a team evacuated from Khartoum in Sudan due to an outbreak of riots. Fatih He was on his first deployment responding to flooding in the area. Even though he had no idea what to expect as he sat on the plane to the disaster zone, once he arrived it was the human connection that assisted him with carrying out ShelterBox’s disaster relief work.  Read more here

Safe retreat for Filipino Children

Filipino children playing at the ShelterBox camp set up to shelter families displaced by conflict in Zamboanga, Philippines. 
You wouldn't think fighting is happening just seven kilometres from where this picture was taken by their smiles. 225 ShelterBox midi tents have been set up in a safe location helping 225 families in need.
