CLOVERDALE HEIGHTS' - GIS PROPERTY REVIEW VIOLATION

One or more homeowners - members of Cloverdale, had taken safety matters, regarding our community, solely upon themselves, and that action has caused a Jefferson County VIOLATION - an unintended consequence. While our Association appreciates the genuine concern, our community must follow regulations.

So what has happened - additional signs, e.g. speed limit, caution for children signs, etc.,  have been attached to state & county equipment in our community. These attachments were recorded as violations by inspection thru the Jefferson County GIS Office.

The regulation is specific - in summary: named road signs are provided and maintained at the expense of state and/or county agencies. Named road signs may NOT be modified in any way,  altered, additions and/or changes permitted by unauthorized persons. The regulation includes all hardware, posts, positioning, surveying, inspections and all future maintenance.

Cloverdale does NOT own or have responsibility for state and/or county named road signs.

CORRECTIVE MEASURES:
  • Cloverdale Executive Board will remove & retain all attachments in violation.
  • Homeowner(s) have NO authority to remove the attachments in violation.
  • Homeowners MUST contact the Executive Board concerning common areas.
REMEMBER:
The unintended consequences are, in this case, the actions of a member in our organization not questioning the full outcome unanticipated or unintended by acting alone.

You've elected from your peers, your Executive Board, to handle the business of the Association for you by following the governing documents, as well as remaining in compliance with county,  state and federal laws.

Questions:
ASK FIRST before taking things into your own hands - our combined goal as homeowners in Cloverdale has always been to maintain, preserve, enhance, and protect our property values and assets of our community.
