July 24, 2012 Police Activity - Cloverdale
3:00am we were disturbed again. This time two males rang our doorbell. They then hid behind a bush in our side yard. We could see them from our window. Then one of the males came back to ring/pound again. Surprisingly enough, I was waiting inside the door. He was shocked to say the least. I jumped out and give him a foot pursuit to the edge of the yard. He took off screaming as he ran! Second male was so startled that he fell over his own feet. He was far enough away that I couldn't accidently land on top of him or get a good look.
Description: Tall, thin, white male w/ short hair, maroon shirt approximately 17 +/- years old. No description of second male. I know not much to go on.
I drove the neighborhood for an hour or so to no avail.

3:30-4:00am the teenagers were ringing doorbells and pounding on doors again. Several neighbors were awakened. Several homeowners and police officers again cruised the neighborhood.
July 16, 2012 Police Activity - Cloverdale
Teenagers were at it again last night. For the fourth or fifth time recently they have been prowling the neighborhood pounding on doors and ringing door bells. Heaven knows what else they have been up to. Thank goodness, last night they kept their clothes on. Usually their pranks involve some nudity. Anyways, last night when they came down Cloverdale Rd, several of my neighbors and myself decided enough is enough! We started driving the neighborhood looking for the culprits. Jefferson County Headquarters were notified. At least three deputies and one CT police officer responded. We were all in search of... I saw them a couple times along Cloverdale Road in between Heath Court and Scottie Lane. Later one deputy flushed them out of a wooded area along Roper Northfork Road. They ran back toward Heath/Cloverdale Rd area. That’s when the officers went on foot with lights and tried to locate them. To my knowledge they were not caught, but maybe this time the police pursuit may cause them to think twice before doing it again. It felt good to see several neighbors and local police ban together to try to eliminate this foolishness. Unfortunately without consequences, this foolishness may escalate into something more dangerous, more criminal, and even more violent. Of course, the other side of the coin, I hate to see neighbors become so frustrated that they band together as a vigilante. We must be careful. That's why each time I go out "to investigate" I am always in contact with Emergency Headquarters. We do not need another Zimmerman [Florida] case.
So there you go. That's the scoop. Keep your lights on and your eyes open!
Thanks! Cully Rinaldi
