Stanford Laptop Orchestra Makes Music

SCPKU hosted a graduate seminar entitled "Creating Music With Laptop Orchestra" June 14 - July 5.  The class was led by Stanford Professor Ge Wang from the Center of Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA).  Six Stanford graduate students participated in the seminar along with four graduate students from Peking University, one from Beihang University, and another from Tianjin University.  The intensive, hands-on seminar explored the intersection of cutting-edge digital technology and conventional musical contexts, and culminated in a live performance at SCPKU (see top photo of the performance "in the mist").
