SCPKU hosts global security seminar

Stanford's Center for East Asian Studies is launching a new graduate-level seminar Spring Quarter which will be taught simultaneously on campus and at SCPKU.  Led by former US Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry, the lecture series will be held in SCPKU's highly-immersive classroom and feature prominent American and Chinese scholars focusing on key global security issues relevant to current U.S.-China relations.  Read more.

Stanford PACS holds Chinese philanthropy conference

The Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS) will host a conference at SCPKU on March 16 from 8:30-6 pm entitled "Blurring of the Boundaries: China's New Socially Responsible Economy."  The event is being held in partnership with the Leping Social Entrepreneur Foundation and will focus on leveraging philanthropic investments for social good.  Read more.

Stanford Ignite-Beijing returns

Stanford's Graduate School of Business is returning to SCPKU for its third year this fall to run Stanford Ignite, a part-time certificate program in innovation and entrepreneurship.  The program will run from September 2 - November 13, 2016 with classes held on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. The Stanford Ignite-Beijing program teaches exceptional individuals to formulate, evaluate, develop, and commercialize their ideas into viable business plans. Participants include entrepreneurs, graduate students, and innovators from companies such as Microsoft, Hanergy, Youku Tudou,, Z-Park, Infosys, Amazon, and FocusEdu. For information on eligibility, tuition, and to view a sample schedule, visit the program website. The Round 1 application deadline is May 11, 2016 and interested parties can register for a program information session at SCPKU on April 9.
