Intercontinental Danang Peninsula Sun Resort, sophisticated beachfront retreat with an amazing spa

The temple-inspired InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam was designed by celebrated architect Bill Bensley to blend into its dramatic mountainous setting. 200 spacious guest rooms are decked out in local merawan wood, custom-made tiles and plush, embroidered silks. Penthouses & villas have multiple al fresco areas and private plunge pools overlooking the ocean.

Food is a real experience here too: Citron, located on the highest level of the resort, makes a striking first impression & Barefoot the casual beachfront. Both mix a unique interior design with amazing food, promised!!! The landmark is the restaurant helmed by three Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire in La Maison 1888, probably the best foodie experience in Vietnam.

And the property is also home to an award-winning Spa, which is one of the most beautiful I have ever been: Amazing design and treatments (Do not miss the marble mountain one!). And for all guests, experience the MixOILogy workshop to get your customised essential oil.

The half-mile-long stretch of pristine, private beachfront tucked beneath the property is accessible via cable car that runs down the mountain.
Just an stunning property!

Ciasa Salares, the foodie destination in the Dolomites

The choice of restaurants at the Ciasa Salares is a treat in itself. Food is a big part of staying here, breakfasts, lunches and dinners are delicious. For a special evening: La Siriola, with its Michelin star lead by Matteo Metulio the youngest starred Chef in Italy. Link here to see my experience at La Siriola

And see the special starred lunch organised in the mountain hat of the Wieser family. Really an exclusive experience!

For something less formal, the wine bar has an extensive menu. La Terrazza by Chef Nicola Zanetti is the all day dining option with lots of delicious home made pasta dishes and local meats, and awesome views from the outdoor veranda.
Also try the Cheese & Wine Tasting option in the Wine Cellar, more than 16.000 wines curated by owner Stefan Wieser. I tried a unique fondue: containing black truffel and egg!
My favorite part of the hotel is the Chocolate Room with some of the best chocolates of the word, and with their own creations.

The Reverie Saigon, exclusive Italian design in the heart of Ho Chi Minh

No doubt The Reverie is boldest expression of opulence: The floor-to-ceiling windows encase all the 286 guest rooms, in 12 categories. Some of Italy’s most renowned design houses, including Visionnaire, Provasi, Giorgetti, and Colombo Stile have combined to create the largest accommodation range in the city, offering classical European style, modern stylish, colorful and contemporary options. The hotel is full of stunning marble compositions, really different from other luxury hotels. It is a Leading Hotel

Food is another great option and includes 5 restaurants and bars led by Italian Executive Chef Giovanni Parrella -try a top Italian  dining experience in R&J Italian Lounge & Restaurant-, including Café Cardinal – where breakfast is served-. Do not miss the 48-metre bar at The Long @ Times Square, longest bar in Vietnam. Also eat the best pizza in town by Ciro Sorrentino from Naples & the coolest tiramisù I have ever eaten. I enjoyed twice the Chinese Restaurant The Royal Pavilion

The 1.200m2 Spa, with 10 treatment rooms has a majestic reception area of white marble features a mosaic-lined stairway leading to the contemporary treatment rooms above. I enjoyed a 5 Elements – a Tibetan-style massage whereby a blend of five essential oils is applied with cupping and kneading techniques to balance the five sensory organs, along with the use of hot stones and herbal poultices. Two hours of pure pleasure, lucky me!

For my transportation to and from the Barcelona airport I always use Abaser Barcelona, my preferred limousine service in town.
