Between soft & grand... | March 5, 2020

A big thank you to all who attended our soft opening and who have stopped by since. We've received such a warm welcome to the West Loop and we're thrilled to be here. We hope you plan to attend our Grand Opening on Saturday, March 14. In the meantime, we're here and we're open. Our hours are:

  • Monday - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Looking at the month ahead, we have more than a dozen events scheduled at the bookstore. We'll list a few, but we're not going to overwhelm you with them today. We will be including information about all of our upcoming events in future newsletters, on our website, and through our Facebook page.

Tonight at the store we'll be hosting Michael Zapata, author of The Lost Book of Adana Moreau, in conversation with Cristina Henriquez, author of The Book of Unknown Americans.

Zapata's novel has been described as Shadow of the Wind meets Exit West. Through the frame of a lost manuscript, The Lost Book of Adana Moreau traverses continents and decades to paint a dramatic and wholly original portrait of the immigrant experience. This novel is about the connective power of stories, and how we translate and re-imagine our experiences to make ourselves visible.

The conversation begins at 7:00 p.m.

(Be sure to remember us when you win, okay?)
