What is GIA all about? GIA an association of interns working in International Organisations and NGOs in Geneva. Our three main aims are to improve:

- The Professional Welfare of Interns (e.g.campaigning to improve working conditions, seeking fair remuneration and diversifying the accessibility of internship programmes)
- Life Beyond Work (e.g. by continuing and improving interns’ social events like UN Drinks and UN Lunches)
- Continuity and a Lasting Institution (having a formal association will help passing experience and information from one generation of interns to the next)

GIA currently has the following vacancies:

Social Affairs Officer (negotiations, event planning)
IT Officer
Professional Welfare Officer (research on working conditions and quality of life for interns in Geneva)
Personal Welfare Officer (development of solutions to intern/student housing in Geneva)
GIA Membership Coordinator (database management, information compilation)

All of the above positions can be applied through a centralized submission form on our website:

The next lunch will take place at the International Labour Organization.

Please, be advised that any piece of ID will be enough to enter the building. You will need to leave it at the security and they will hand out visitor badges in exchange.

The easiest way to get to the ILO is to catch the bus number 8, 28 or F and stop at "BIT". From there you cross the road next to the bus stop and enter the parking garage.

Once you enter it, follow the path on your right until you reach the entrance door (also to your right). Enter the door and go upstairs to find the cafeteria right in front of the entrance.

Marlene and Lutz will be waiting for you in front of the cafeteria and show you the way to the tables that are reserved for us.

See you all there!
