A 1st Glance at the Survey Results

Thank you all for your contribution to our ILO/ICO targeted survey! We are pleased to announce that it has ended with exceptional participation, exceeding our target thresholds for both questionnaires. The ILO questionnaire received 45 responses from 20 countries in Europe, while the ICO questionnaire received 51 responses, covering all 7 ESFRI domains. The WP2 team will now begin the analysis process. Make sure to check out their first glance into the raw data on the survey page on our website!
Who is ENRIITC?
ENRIITC is made up of 11 consortium partners and more than 60 associate partners, making it a very broad and diverse Network. To better understand who is involved in the Network and what collaboration opportunities are available, we will be introducing 1 partner in each newsletter, starting with the consortium.
The Industrial Liaison Officers Network (ILO-net)

The ILO-net is the collaboration of Dutch Industrial Liaison Officers who are employed at the scientific research institutes in the Netherlands. The ILO-net is an initiative of the The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) institutes, with a coordinating responsibility for national contributions to Big Science facilities like ESA, ESO, CERN and ITER. ILO’s join their forces to connect Dutch high tech industry with Big Science, with the aim to raise geographical return and to support high tech industry in the acquisition of challenging science/technology contracts, while also promoting technology transfer and valorisation. NWO supports this initiative with a back office at corporate level.

Gerard Cornet holds a Master’s degree in Physics and Astronomy and is Coordinator for the ILO-net and the Senior Policy Officer at SRON. He is co-leading Task 2.3 “Analysis of national indicators for ILO/ICO performances” and Task 3.4 “Policy recommendations for optimizing the performance of ILOs/ICOs activities.

IFIC High-Gradient RF Laboratory already in operation!

After a short start-up period, the IFIC High-Gradient (HG) Radio Frequency (RF) laboratory is ready for operation and carry out tests for national and international projects. The particular characteristics of this high-power infrastructure, with a pulsed RF frequency of 2.9985 GHz, a pulse repetition rate up to 400 Hz and a power up to 15 MW, represents a major step towards the study of breakdown phenomena in HG RF accelerating structures and the use of this technology in medical hadron therapy applications.

This Spanish singular scientific and technological infrastructure at IFIC has been developed in collaboration with the CLIC RF group at CERN. Find out more details here.

Neutron Scattering Group will host Early Career Meeting

The Neutron Scattering Group, promoting neutron science actively with its UK user community, is hosting an Early Career Meeting on the 25th and 26th August 2020. CORBEL Website has a New Owner

A new Life Sciences RI website will take over from the CORBEL website, since the project formally ended on 31st May. The site will include among other things content on innovation, including guidelines and template legal documents. The CORBEL Innovation Helpdesk will also continue to function, staffed from the EATRIS business development network, and can in principle provide help with requests from other sectors.
