EMSO ERIC
The European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water column Observatory (EMSO) aims to explore the oceans, to gain a better understanding of phenomena happening within and below them, and to explain the critical role that these phenomena play in the broader Earth systems. EMSO offers data and services to a large and diverse group of users, from scientists and industries to institutions and policy makers. It is an extraordinary infrastructure to provide relevant information for defining environmental policies based on scientific data.

Marco Galeotti is the Head of the Communication Office at EMSO ERIC and is the newest member of the ENRIITC Consortium. He holds an MSc in Theoretical Physics and a postgraduate degree in Communication, Laws and Economy of Science. He has more than 10 years in Project management as a certified Project Manager, spent in research infrastructures, research agencies and private companies. In the last decade, Marco has been involved in more than ten H2020 projects as project manager and science communicator.

The BSBF has been postponed to autumn 2022
Given that the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic remains, and despite the fact that expectations are improving due to the gradual extension of vaccination, the Big Science Business Forum International Organising Committee has decided to postpone the BSBF event to safeguard the health of all participants. It will then take place on 4-7 October 2022 in Granada (Spain).

Open Innovation Opportunity: Call for SMEs and Startups
PITCCH - the H2020 project led by INL - has opened its first corporate challenges: seven unique open innovation opportunities in advanced technologies for SMEs and Startups to collaborate with Big Corporations. Supported projects are entitled to a 25K award and free consultancy services throughout the development of the challenges.

Register to the upcoming Euro-Argo workshops
The Mediterranean and Black Seas as well as the Arctic and Baltic workshops will be held online on 8-9 April 2021. These workshops will have a common session on Argo in the European Marginal Seas on 8 April. Please note that the registrations are now open and will close on 25 March 2021. ENVRI Community International Winter School 2021
The 2021 ENVRI Community International Winter School from January 11-22 attracted 32 participants from all around the world. Centred on the FAIR principles of data management, the online curriculum was delivered by teachers from LifeWatch ERIC, University of Amsterdam and the ICOS Carbon Portal. Read more here.
