Andre Taylor- A Vet's Perspective in-house

As the newest addition to the TargetGov team I bring with me my four year career with the US Marine Corps as a Survey Engineer and additional training with brief practices in Civil Engineering .  My time in the Marines included posts stateside and internationally as well as a combat tour in Iraq.

As a Marketing Team Support Member at TargetGov I am able to apply my experience with different contracting agencies in the Aerospace field and making the connections into how those agencies they serve. As part of the TargetGov team I see the process a contractor undertakes in order to win a federal opportunity and work alongside armed service members. My Armed Forces experience enables me to suggest and select the best opportunity to fit a client’s needs. You might say I have seen this world from both sides.

I am a native to the Washington, DC metropolitan area and prior to my time in the USMC I studied video game programming and graphic design as well as being in one of the first educational settings to incorporate a motion capture device within its curriculum. I look forward to supporting you in your pursuit to win government contracts.

Preparing for Success in the Federal Market Place Series: Positioning to Win: Plan, Position and Pursue Government Business

This TargetGov Webinar taught by Gloria Larkin helps your Vet owned business reach the Government marketplace.

The U.S Federal Government is the world’s Fortune One buyer of services and products. In fiscal year 2012, agencies and the military awarded more than $45 billion to Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. There are still many contracting opportunities available since most agencies do not meet their annual 5%/3% VOSB/SDVOSB goal due to a lack of identified contractors in the marketplace. This series of webinars will help set you on the fast track to the federal market and start winning contracts.
