Funding the future of CRDCN

In the coming weeks we will be submitting the final renewal proposal to CFI, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). This decision will dictate a great deal of our funding between 2023 and 2029, and is crucial to the sustained operations of CRDCN – including access to the Statistics Canada microdata in the RDCs.

To aid in our renewal proposal, we have held a town hall and conducted a survey to hear about what is important to our research community. We want to thank all of you who took part, your help is invaluable in drafting our proposal and carefully charting the course for the future of the Network.

We will report further once the proposal has been submitted and a decision has been made.

Attention students! Poster Session is open for entries

There is still time to register and take part in the Poster Session at the 2021 Conference!

The competition showcases three-minute, pre-recorded presentations that summarize a research project and identify the implications the project has for public policy.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to present your work as an emerging researcher, to network with the research community and compete for a monetary prize.

All the information you need, including a tutorial on how to record your presentation, is available here on the competition site. You can submit your presentation by clicking the button below.

CRDCN is developing one-page summaries of research and policy reports that showcase and extend the reach of the work of the CRDCN research community. Please contact Peri Abdullah if you are interested in having your published research and/or policy reports featured in a CRDCN research-policy snapshot.
