Exclusive insights from Daily Mile Foundation founder Elaine Wyllie 

Our next European Mile webinar is set to feature exclusive insights on successful physical activity initiatives for children and youth from the Daily Mile Foundation and the Dutch organisation JOGG. Join us tomorrow, Tuesday 11 May from 15:00-16:00 CEST, for this free webinar hosted by ISCA.

During the webinar, we will hear from the founder of the Daily Mile Foundation, Elaine Wyllie, about how the Daily Mile was created and how it has grown into an international movement. JOGG project manager Patty Scholten will also introduce their work in the Netherlands to create a society in which all children and adolescents can live, learn, work and enjoy themselves in an environment that encourages healthy lifestyles.

Join us this Wednesday 12 May 13:00-14:30 CEST for an interactive workshop with the German Olympic Sports Confederation, RF/SISU and StreetGames Gothenburg, and Croatian Taekondo club Jastreb: Never Stop Learning! The webinar is the second in the Integration of Refugees Through Sport series highlighting examples of good practice from both the speakers and participants.

Joining in the European Mile is as easy as running a mile (1.6km) or more and donating your miles to a good cause. If you're looking for a ready-made event for your community, you can download our How-To guide and resources to get started. 

You can also try the brand new MoveChallenger app designed by our Spanish National Coordinator to help you #FindYourMile - for iOS and Android.

Open consultation on sport for development work standards

The CHANGE project invites people specialising in sport for development to help define occupational standards for people working in this area. The consultation questionnaire is open until 28 May and will be used to shape a new training course.

New online course launched today: FIRE Mooc

The Football Including Refugees in Europe (FIRE) project, led by Sport & Citizenship, is launching an online multimedia course today for volunteers and staff at community football clubs who want to start their own small-scale inclusion project.
