We are proud to introduce our MOVE Week case movie highlighting the significant success we achieved this year thanks to our MOVE Agents.
And this is just the beginning! After the highly successful MOVE Week, as part of the NowWeMove Campaign, we need to remember that sustainable physical activity is our overall ambition. To support this we are increasing our work and emphasis on the other three elements of the campaign, which are capacity building, awards and advocacy.
Initiatives we have already established in these areas include the MOVE Congress and awards for MOVE Agents, as well as politically strong literature to support our vision.
Over the coming months the variety of ways we spread the message and create opportunities for you to engage with the campaign will grow even more. Stay tuned here to find out how.

Endomondo MOVE Week challenge winner finds his move and wins an action camera

Pascal Walers from Luxembourg was on the winning team for the Endomondo MOVE Week challenge and was selected as the individual winner of a GO PRO camera. He was part of a team that burned an average of over 4,900 calories per workout, which equates to six hours of cycling. Therefore it is clear he is more than an expert when it comes to living an active life.

1 in 4 MOVE Week 2013 activities included cycling

Cycling is growing in popularity at a pan-European level, and almost 1 out of 4 MOVE Week 2013 events was either completely dedicated to bikes or involved some form of cycling. Kevin Mayne, Development Director of the European Cyclists’ Federation, one of the main partners of NowWeMove, says:

“Cycling is one of the most obvious ways we can incorporate physical activity into our daily lives. 35 million Europeans already cycle and the popularity of cycling during MOVE Week shows that there is huge enthusiasm to hit our target of doubling that number by 2020 as part of the NowWeMove Campaign.”
