Happy Birthday—To Us!
Even in the midst of a global pandemic, it's important to pause and celebrate.
And so, this month, we celebrate the founding of Life Styles by then-27-year-old Carol Hart on July 16, 1976.
That year, the United States celebrated its Bicentennial, Jimmy Carter was elected the 39th U.S. president, Happy Days was the most popular TV show, and a brand-new, top-selling Ford Pinto cost a whopping $2,900.
Along with all the other great stuff that happened in 1976, Life Styles came into being. We're honored to have had the opportunity to serve people with developmental disabilities throughout Northwest Arkansas ever since, and we're truly humbled by the incredible outpouring of community support, goods and services, volunteer hours, and financial resources that have made our longevity possible.
We thank you for helping us make a difference in thousands of lives through the years—and we invite you to join us in anticipating all the difference-making yet to come.
