Hello High Point + Welcome to Church!

Hello everyone and thanks for welcoming us into your home again this week. We hope that you had a great week and that you have sensed the presence of God with you.

We apologize for not sending out a Church @ Home service the past few weeks. We were away the last two weeks due to our holidays, but we are glad to be back home now, and to worship together again.

While we already gathered in our building for an in-person worship service this morning, we are happy to share the service again with you, so that you can worship 'with us' from the safety of your own space. We pray that this will be a meaningful time of connection with the Lord.

If you are new to High Point and just tuning in for the first time, welcome! We are glad that you have joined us and we pray that God will speak to you through our service. Simply follow along through the format below, clicking the links as you go.
Call to Worship
Read Hebrews 4:14-16 as your call to worship today.
May we be encouraged that we have a high priest who knows what it is like to be human, and may we enter his presence with confidence, knowing that He is with us and accepts our worship.

Read Psalm 34

As you read, notice that this Psalm calls us to praise God and celebrate, but also acknowledges that life can be difficult and that God is close to those who are broken-hearted.
The Christian life is full of both joy and mourning, and God meets us where we are at. As you enter into worship today, feel the freedom to come as you are and to lay whatever you are experiencing- joy or sorrow-before our Father God.
Sing "Hosanna"

As you listen to the lyrics + sing along, may the words of this song be the prayer of your heart. Welcome Jesus into your place of worship and ask Him to have His way among you as you spend time with Him.
Sing "Yes I Will"

As you listen to the lyrics + sing along, claim these words for your own. As you continue to worship 'as you are' choose to praise God and glorify his name, regardless of your circumstances.
Sing "Behold"

This is a new song, so feel free to listen to the lyrics before singing along. As you listen, reflect on the beautiful things that God accomplishes through His love.
Community Prayer
Have a prayer request or praise report?
We would love to lift that up to the Father on your behalf!
Send it to us (email, text, or call) and we will be sure to remember you in prayer.

Read Luke 24:13-27

As you read, pay attention to verse 27. Imagine what it would have been like to have Jesus interpret the Scriptures for you, all the while pointing to himself.
Listen to Lt. Kassie's Sermon: "Signposts: A Story of Blood" based on Genesis 4:1-16
Reflection: Listen to "Nothing But the Blood"

After you have listened to the sermon, take a moment to listen to this song, sing along, and reflect on the words.
Ask Jesus to remind you of the life-changing power of His blood and thank Him for the new life that He offers.
Sing "Stand in Your Love"

As you get ready to wrap up your time of worship, sing along to this song and claim the promise that "perfect love drives out fear". No matter what we have to face in the coming days, we know that we don't have to be afraid because God's love will always go with us.
