For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Hebrew Scriptures we might have hope.” Romans 15:4

Dear friends of Jerusalem Seminary,

With great joy we share that the spring pilot open-enrollment courses are up and running, thanks be to God! The Beginners Biblical Hebrew course is off to a flying start with two of our recently graduated Hebrew for the Nations Israeli teachers marking firsts, Irit making her debut as primary instructor after co-teaching previously, and Itzhak debuting in his first online full-length course.

Likewise, Dr. Noel Rabinowitz began engaging students to think deeper about the Gospel of Matthew in its First Century Jewish Context through his flagship course. Reading the Gospel anew through the perspective of a first-century lens, Noel began situating Jesus (Yeshua) as a first-century Jewish man, raised and living in the Promised Land. Such a perspective truly affects one’s experience of the Messiah!

The locally based Biblical Hebrew Teachers Course met in person amongst easing lockdown restrictions on a gloriously sunny day. The half-day session included 18 Israelis speaking Biblical Hebrew and even singing some of the same psalms sung in the land for thousands of years. A number of these students have already committed to teaching Biblical Hebrew around the world this coming year!

Please save the date and stay tuned for the full announcement of Jerusalem Seminary’s Convocation and Dedication on Tuesday September 7, 2021 and even more course offerings are being planned for this coming Fall semester, starting September 2021!

We thank you for your prayers and partnership with us as we seek to bring the Scriptures alive from Jerusalem that we might have hope (Romans 15:4).

With joy, shalom and blessings,

Grace and peace from Jerusalem!

Sown in the Land, Harvested Among the Nations

And many nations will come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in His paths: for Instruction shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Micah 4:2
