Commission on Career and Technical Education Releases Report, Surveys States
The SREB Commission on Career and Technical Education calls on state leaders to create relevant career pathways that lead students from high school to postsecondary education and training — and help them secure good jobs in demand in their states. Credentials for All: An Imperative for SREB States offers eight actions states can take to reach this goal: Double the number of young adults who hold a credible credential or degree by the age of 25. Read the release >

New Board Members From Oklahoma
Clark Jolley and Jennifer Monies have been appointed to the Southern Regional Education Board by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. Jolley, a state senator, chairs appropriations and serves on the education committee. Monies is executive director of the Oklahoma Educated Workforce Initiative.

Glen Johnson, chancellor of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, was reappointed to the Board. 
Johnson chairs the SREB Commission on College Affordability in the South and is a past SREB vice chair.
