Re: Novel Coronavirus Update 6th Feb 2020

Dear Parents/Caregivers:

There are no new instructions from the Ministry of Education at this time. However, in an earlier communication we said that the school would provide hand sanitiser for regular use by the students. An order was placed and paid for but we were subsequently informed that it could not be provided.
A second order was placed with another supplier and this is due to arrive at school tomorrow (Friday).

I am hopeful that the supply will last us until the 19th Feb (14 days after school opened) but I’m not able to guarantee this. Neither the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Education are stipulating that hand sanitiser must be used. Both organisations recommend thorough washing of hands with soap and water. This is a skill that we will be revising with the children and it would be great if you could help them to practise at home. Your children are welcome to bring their own hand sanitiser if you wish.

It was lovely to see so many of you at the Open Day. Thank you for your continued support.

Regards,

Sue Smith
