Plumbing the Depths: Pipes, Drains and Your HOA's Water Supply

posted by Lisa Iannucci, The South Florida Cooperator, November 2014

Of all the modern conveniences we take for granted, perhaps none is as profoundly basic —and indispensable—as indoor plumbing. Carrying fresh water into our homes and taking waste water away, the pipes in our condo or co-op buildings are the fine line that separates us from our not-too-distant (also very aromatic and very unsanitary) urban past. Read more

Word of the Week: Rules and Regulations

posted by Dan Tiernan, COO, Campbell Property Management, November 5, 2014
The word this week is Rules and Regulations. Although Rules and Regulations are not a formal part of the Governing Documents, they are still very important in that they define restrictions for owners that are mandatory, not voluntary. Read more

Eyes in the Sky

posted by L. Chere Trigg, Florida HOA Lawyer Blog, November 13, 2014
Drones have been the topic of conversation for the past several years sparking privacy concerns among residential communities. December Tips

Keith's Corner: Avoid Major Pruning of Trees this Month
The month of December brings cooler temperatures to sunny South Florida. Here are a few landscaping tips that will help keep your lawn and landscaping healthy during the winter. Keep an eye out for insects. Even though bug populations tend to lessen during the colder months, it is still important to catch infestations before they develop. Also, avoid any major pruning of hardwood trees; removing only dead limbs will help protect trees from the cold. Winter vegetables to plant include: cabbage, celery, carrots and herbs such as: cilantro, parsley, dill and sage.

As always, remember to install your sod green side up!
