posted by Joseph Adams, Florida Condo & HOA Law Blog, January 26, 2016
There are a number of requirements that a community must satisfy in order to be considered “housing for older persons,” often referred to as a “55 and over” community. The main point of being a 55 and over community is that families with children can be excluded, which is otherwise illegal under state and federal anti-discrimination laws. Read more

February Tips

Keith's Corner: Seasonal Weeds & Fertilizing
This month, apply a pre-emergent weed killer to lawns to prevent the germination of seasonal weeds. It is best to apply a pre-emergent weed killer when the temperature is expected to be 65 degrees or higher for up to five days. February, is also a great month to fertilize your lawns, palms and shrubs. Make sure to use a fertilizer with little to no phosphorus, unless a soil test was recently conducted that stated otherwise. The fertilizer should also have a controlled release of nitrogen for best results.

As always, remember to install your sod green side up!
