Community Association Directors, Officers Are Protected from Frivolous Lawsuits

posted by Roberto C. Blanch, Florida HOA Lawyer Blog, January 28, 2019

Avoiding Defense of Selective Enforcement

posted by John Stratton, Florida Condo & HOA Law Blog, January 14,2019

Can Directors Vote Via E-Mail?

posted by David G. Muller, Florida Condo & HOA Law Blog, January 21,2019

The law does not prohibit Board Members from communicating via e-mail, and specifically notes that e-mail communication between Board members is permitted. The law does not say whether these internal Board e-mails are part of the “official records” of the Association, which remains an open question. Read more

Subdivision Lots Subject to Easement Rights

posted by Joseph Adams, Florida Condo & HOA Law Blog, January 20,2019

Rental Violations Can Be Frustrating

posted by Joseph Adams, Florida Condo & HOA Law Blog, January 6,2019

Unfortunately, there is a small segment of people who take the “ask for forgiveness, not permission” approach to condominium ownership. Admittedly, the temptation can be great since short-term rentals in desirable resort areas, especially during the “high season”, can generate substantial income. Read more

February Tips

Shane's Spot: Fertilize your plants to keep them lively!

In February, you have an opportunity to assess your plant material for the upcoming months. This is typically the last month of cold weather, so make sure to keep an eye on your plants during any drops in temperature. To improve the color of your lawn, shrubs, and palms make sure to fertilize. Be conscious of how much you are watering your plants.

As always, remember to install your sod green side up!
