Happy Easter Holiday week!
We hope that everyone survived March Break without mishap and are likewise adjusting back into the usual work/school routines. This is a short week with the start of the Easter Holiday this Thursday. We have a few reminders and notices of CAVEWAS workshops, the ABVE conference in Vancouver and a second running of the Mental Health Initial Intervention Course in Vancouver sponsored by Diversified Rehabilitation Group. There is a new WSIB job posting that we want to bring to the attention of CVRP Registrants.
1) CAVEWAS sponsored CCVE Examination Training Day – Saturday 7 May 2016 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
CVRP is pleased to offer registration assistance to CAVEWAS for this program, while CAVEWAS is waiting for their new website to be finished. The registration form can be found at this link: http://www.cvrp.ca/cavewas/
. Registration and payment is only accepted on-line through this link.
At present, there is room for 40 participants, class-room style and unfortunately no availability to move to a larger room. We urge those interested to register now
to secure a spot for both the training and the CCVE examination the following day on May 8th
. The training will be held at the Centre for Health and Safety Innovation, Corporation Event Centre, 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, Ontario. See March 8th

for additional information and a map)
2) CCVE Examination Sitting – Sunday 8 May 2015 - 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
This is a reminder that the CCVE examination is being held in the same location as the CAVEWAS Training Day on the next day, May 8th from 8:00am – 3:00 pm.
Since this is Mothers’ Day, the exam will start at 8:00 am sharp. Participants can choose their break time between the 2 sections of 150 questions. This should allow for early completion for those people who need to participate in Mother’s Day family celebrations.
Completed CCVE Examination applications and documentation must be received by the College no later than April 20th
to allow for the peer-review process (part of the eligibility evaluation) to sit the CCVE exam. Application forms to sit the CCVE examination can be found at this link: http://www.cvrp.ca/ccve-application-for-examination/
3) CAVEWAS VALAR 3000 Training 29 April 2016
CAVEWAS is hosting a VALAR 3000 Training Day on April 29th
. The location is: Alliance Francaise, 24 Spadina Rd., Toronto. It is a two minute walk from the Spadina subway station and there is a green parking nearby. The event is from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on April 29, 2016. There is very limit space for this program. For registration, please contact Mr. Marcus Bachmann directly at: email@example.com
