Announcement from the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals:

New on-line Ethics learning module, ‘Call for Volunteers’ and Errors and Omission Insurance Options Registrant File Audit

Launched Today!  CVRP Applied Ethics – Vocational Rehabilitation Practice Learning Module
Dr. Garry Corbett has developed an on-line ethics learning module for CVRP.  On completion, the participant will be awarded 4 Ethics CEUs.  The link for the program is found on the CVRP website under a new tab called Online Education.
On receipt of the registration and payment for the learning module, CVRP Administration will forward the access information that will allow you to start the program.  By email, you will receive a user-name and a password, according to the email you recorded on the registration form.  You will have 30 days from the day you are given the access information to complete the module.  This is a learning program, not a graded test.
We are pleased to be able to provide to our registrants, this high quality Canadian learning opportunity.  The registrant fee will pay for the development of this module, with any additional funds allotted to the Examination committee for the ongoing annual development of the exam question database.
Keep watch for the ‘Jurisprudence of a Regulated Professional Learning Module’ and the ‘CVRP Standards of Practice and the Code of Conduct Learning Module’.
Call for Volunteers!
As recently announced, we are establishing a committee to review the options for the certification process for long-term (veteran) VR practitioners and to present recommendations to the CVRP Board of Directors. Volunteers on this committee will also be tasked to prepare and present Accommodation Policy for Options for new Certificates.
Volunteers are invited to send an email to with your preferred contact information by October 19th.  Volunteers will be contacted by October 23rd with a tentative meeting schedule.  Volunteers are allotted 10 CEU’s per year for their contributions to their College.
Errors and Omission Insurance Options:
To assist all members to access the required E&O insurance required for registration, there will 2 more links to acceptable insurance options in addition to the policy provided to members of VRA Canada.  As soon as the application links are established, they will be posted on the Errors & Omissions page in the left-hand Red Box called ‘EXPLORE’ on the CVRP Home page.  An announcement will be sent out to all members.
Registrant File Audit:
Over the past 9 months, we have completed file audits on all files, with less than 50 files left to audit.  This is in preparation for the implementation of mandatory late penalty fines to be levied for not meeting annual registration requirements by the deadline dates.  Penalties will be levied for late fee payment, incomplete and/or late submission of CEUs and failure to submit the VSPC prior to the 5 year renewal date. More information will be posted over the next month with regard to the infraction policy, the time allowed to resolve the infraction and the re-instatement requirements.  Also the new CEU policy submission manual will be posted and the link noted on the CVRP Home Page.
